Lupus

FAIIINT, Illustration, Illustrator, Wolf, Girl, Lupus, Moon, Werewolf
The image I had in my mind when I started this was totally different to how it ended up, I spent a few days rubbing out & getting annoyed that I couldn’t seem to be able to make it look exactly as I’d pictured. Eventually I just decided to let go & see how it ended up & it turned into this, which I actually think is much nicer than what it originally would have been! I guess it just proves sometimes it’s best to see how things develop & go with the flow, instead of being so stubborn & bloody minded!

Aw, Thankyou! I mostly sketch everything up with standard pencils, sometimes ink too & then do all of the colouring digitally in Photoshop or Corel Painter. I’m torn between being very traditional & the slickness of digital, so this mixture keeps both sides of me happy! :)

I get a good feeling from this one! Did you apply some texture to the background in Photoshop, or is that just the natural texture of the paper?

I also really like that subtlety of the wolf behind the girl… it’s barely noticeable, but when you see it… BAM, picture complete XD

Thankyou everyone for the lovely comments! :)
The texture is a little of the actual paper, but mostly added texture in Photoshop, I’m a sucker for texture & gradients!
