How do you pronounce FAIIINT ?
Say it exactly as you would say ‘faint’!
Why did you choose FAIIINT ?
I wanted something that would be personal, that described me well & that was short & catchy. Anyone who knows me will know I suffer from fainting & fits – Neurally Mediated Cardioinhibitory Syncope, I’ve had it since I was a child, but during my years at college & university it worsened significantly.
It became such a huge part of my life & went from being sort of a secret to something everyone knew about & it’s shaped me a lot as a person since. It seemed perfect to choose something with such a personal meaning & that was a huge part of me. I also liked the dual meaning, such as fainting or swooning when you see something so strikingly beautiful (like Johnny Depp, or an amazing pair of shoes!)
Why are there 3 I’s in FAIIINT ?
Purely because I wanted the name ‘Faint’ & knew it would be too common to use. My bus goes past King Richard III Road every day & I loved the strong, graphic look of the 3 I’s so incorporated into the name to make it more unique.
What camera do you use for your photos ?
My boyfriend is a professional photographer, so he’s the one taking all the photos & it’s his equipment. He uses a Nikon D4 + 24-70mm F2.8 or 50mm F1.8 lens. On the rare occasions he can’t take photos for me, I use his old Nikon D200 with the 50mm F1.8 lens.
