The lovely Rosie from Boohoo got in touch a little while ago asking if I’d like to be part of their blogger campaign for the #Globalstyler competition. I never usually enter competitions, or promote them on here, but the prize for this one is too amazing not to give it a shot & I urge all of you to have a go too!

I picked out this beautiful striped shirt dress to wear & honestly haven’t been able to stop wearing it since it arrived. I used to wear stripes a lot (I blame my Warhol obsession!) so as soon as I saw this I knew it was the perfect excuse to rekindle my love for them. The stripes look as though they’ve been painted on, with wobbly edges instead of being very harsh & graphic, which I love, it makes it feel just a little softer. The asymmetric hem & layers are what really drew me to it though, I’m always a sucker for both, but I think here they work so perfectly with the stripes & make it look much more expensive than the tiny £18 it costs.

Anyway, onto the competition! The prize is an incredible trip of a lifetime to any destination of your choice for you and a friend + spending money too! Anyone from the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the USA can enter & all you need to do is take a photo of yourself wearing Boohoo, with the speech bubble & upload it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #Globalstyler.

Click here for all the info, T&C’S & to download the speech bubble. Good luck guys!

Lately I cannot get enough of Aussie designers, everything they produce just seems to ooze this laid back, effortless kind of charm & elegance, clothes that although intricately detailed & in super fine fabrics feel as though you can just throw them on.

Francis Leon is the latest Aussie designer crush to add to that list. The label produces the kind of clothes I image superheroines wear on their days off, a mixture of futuristic, graphic paneling, tight silhouettes & functional sportwear detailing, it’s laid back luxe at it’s best.

The SS13 lookbook has me hooked even further, it has this infectious sci-fi rock’n'roll kind of attitude about it, it makes me want to be that girl & want to own every piece, especially the jackets. My favourite is without a doubt the first jacket, it’s the perfect biker & the little flash of oxblood on the inner arms make it really special. It’s these little details that really make the collection stand out, the small ribbed inserts, the masterful mixing of textures & fabrics, subtle paneling & the beautiful fitted cuts, they’re the type of pieces that you’ll always find something new to love & wear to death because they make you feel so kick-ass.

Ribbed / OUTFIT

FAIIINT, Outfit, Bracher Emden, Belt, Jean Pierre Braganza, Rut M.fl, Ribbed, Chunky, Jumper, Sweater, Grey, Black, River Island, Asymmetric, Skirt, Topshop, Boutique, Boots, Leather, Bangle, Cuff, Street Style, Fashion, Blogger,FAIIINT, Outfit, Bracher Emden, Belt, Jean Pierre Braganza, Rut M.fl, Ribbed, Chunky, Jumper, Sweater, Grey, Black, River Island, Asymmetric, Skirt, Topshop, Boutique, Boots, Leather, Bangle, Cuff, Street Style, Fashion, Blogger,FAIIINT, Outfit, Bracher Emden, Belt, Jean Pierre Braganza, Rut M.fl, Ribbed, Chunky, Jumper, Sweater, Grey, Black, River Island, Asymmetric, Skirt, Topshop, Boutique, Boots, Leather, Bangle, Cuff, Street Style, Fashion, Blogger,

This whole outfit pretty much consists of pieces I just can’t stop wearing, so sorry if it’s a little repetitive! Since this River Island skirt arrived a few weeks ago I’ve worn it to death. It’s one of those pieces that’s so easy, yet the asymmetric cut & the slight draping give it that little something extra, meaning every time I’ve put on another skirt this last week I’ve ended up changing into this again because it just looks so much better.

The same goes for my Bracher Emden belt, it transforms any outfit, even the most boring one, into something special with it’s statement shape & sharp angles. Sometimes this can be a problem though, as I have been finding myself getting dressed & feeling as though something is missing from my outfits, then realizing it’s the belt, that impact it has, the way it magically pulls everything together, it’s a little addictive. Before you know it, I’ve been adding it to every outfit & wearing it all week! I don’t want it to loose that wow factor it has though, so I’m forcing myself to only wear it now & again from now on.

This sweater from Rut&Circle is another recent addition I’ve been wearing an awful lot, I never like to buy or wear plain, boring sweaters, they’re such a focal point of an outfit when you’re wearing one, so I always think they should be kind of special. The little details like the longer back & subtle diagonal ribbing to the chest have made this one a real staple in my wardrobe. Plus it’s so chunky & snuggly, perfect for this freezing weather.

Sorry for this rather boring outfit, but it’s just far too cold to even think about going out in anything less! The best think about a big coat like this Topshop one is that no one can see all the ugly, mismatched layers I’ve piled on underneath to keep myself warm! When it’s this cold, all I care about it staying warm, I’m talking hoodies & sweaters that are so old (but so snuggly!) I only ever wear them around the house & thermal tights underneath my leggings. All anyone else sees is this smart black coat though, it’s the perfect disguise!

I’ve never though of myself as much of a hat person, the only style that really suit me are beanies but even then I don’t wear them unless I need to. I originally got this pom pom one from Nelly for walking Nico in, but since the temperature has plummeted it’s barely left my head & I’m finding myself growing quite attached to it. I think it’s that little tuft of fur on the top, it just makes me smile & reminds me of the ones I used to have as a kid.

I’m not sure what it is with me lately, but it seems that the golden biker jacket I featured a little while ago has given me a taste for all things gold & sequined. It’s so unlike me, but over the past week or so I’ve found myself drawn to everything shiny. First this metallic knit, then gold foil nail polish & I even have a (non-black!) sequined tee on the way! That’s something I never thought I’d be saying, but of course I’ll be wearing them all with a good dose of black, lots of draping & my beaten up boots too!

It’s nice to surprise yourself sometimes & find that things you’d usually dismiss for not being very ‘you’ can actually slot quite effortlessly into your wardrobe with the right styling.

As soon as I saw this chunky knit from Boohoo it was love, the golden paint over the top gives it almost a chain-mail kind of look, and you all know how much I love anything with a bit of a ‘warrior’ feel, so of course I had to have it. It’s super soft & slouchy too, perfect worn a little oversized & belted or tucked in. I love that the gold is just painted on so imperfectly, bits of black knit showing through & patches where it’s rubbing off, it gives it a grungier feel which is I think why I find it so wearable. I must admit though, I am a little scared to wash it, I’m not sure how well the finish will hold up as it’s already leaving a fine layer of golden dust on anything it touches!

Three Floor SS13 / COVET

Three Floor Fashion, SS 13, 2013, Spring, Summer, Dress, Cut Out, Geometric, Architectural, Body Con, Tight, Green, Metallic, Orange, Nude,Three Floor Fashion, SS 13, 2013, Spring, Summer, Skirt, Zip, Biker, Tank top, Cut Out, Geometric, Architectural, Body Con, Tight, Blue, Herringbone, Metallic, Black, Leather, Pleather, Faux, Texture, Snake, Three Floor Fashion, SS 13, 2013, Spring, Summer, Dress, Cut Out, Geometric, Architectural, Body Con, Tight, Green, Metallic, Black, Leather, Pleather, Faux, Texture, Snake, Eyelet, Skater, Peplum,

Three Floor quickly became one of my favourite brands of last year, going from strength to strength with each subsequent collection & rapidly gaining admirers for their high quality, fashion forward pieces with a price tag that just seems too good to be true. The pieces of theirs I own myself are easily some of my favourite items in my wardrobe. They look so much more expensive than their high street price tags would suggest, thanks to beautiful, quality fabrics & the kind of attention to fit & detail that you usually only see on higher end brands.

I’ve been waiting forever to see the full line up for the Spring collection. Upon seeing it I initially thought that it was beautiful but there was nothing very ‘me’ that I’d actually want to buy, unlike previous seasons where I’ve wanted every single piece. The more I look at it though, the more I love it. I think a lot of this was down to the lookbook, as the styling is so far away from my own style I couldn’t see myself in any of the pieces, but looking at them flat & without any fuss I can easily picture a few pieces fitting with my existing wardrobe.

The standout for me is the metallic green dress with the mesh panels, I love how architectural the cut is & the tight fit & faux leather accents toughen it up perfectly, putting it straight to the top of my list. I don’t even mind the metallic green, as it’s dark enough to be wearable for me. The orange dress is my idea of a dream dress, absolute perfection, I only wish that it came in black too so that I could have one myself. I know I’ve been slowly trying out colours other than black recently, but I don’t think I’m ready for bright orange just yet!

This was the first time I’ve been out without a coat or jacket in months, it was such a nice day. Yet fast forward a few days to today & we have a thick blanket of snow & it’s back to being freezing again, typical British weather!

This outfit is all about the beautiful, angular Bracher Emden belt, it makes me feel like some sort of futuristic crime fighter & so I couldn’t resist pairing it with my quilted shoulder tee from ASOS for that little extra sci-fi element! It’s such a statement piece that it immediately dominates any outfit, so I like to keep the rest of my look simple so that it can take full center stage. I’ve been wearing it a lot over chunky sweaters too, as it’s one of those pieces that can transform even the most boring & casual outfits into something so striking & dynamic.

The draped skirt from Religion is one of the only sale buys I’ve brought this year, I’ve been so disappointed in the online sales & haven’t even bothered to check out the stores yet as I’ve heard they’re not much better either. I’d had my eye on the skirt for a while though, so of course I had to get it at 50% off. I love how the draping at the sides actually gives me the illusion of having a few curves, instead of my usual boyish silhouette!
