Three Floor Lace Shirt Dress / Lux Coronette Lion Claw Necklace / Topshop Boutique Boots / Balenciaga City

I think wearing black lace must bring out my inner sullen goth girl, because I look seriously sulky & creepy in every single photo we took of this outfit! Though I guess the setting, crumbling walled garden, didn’t help much either…

This has got to be one of my favourite recent buys, it’s everything I loved rolled into one dress. I’ve mentioned before how much I love Three Floor, but had never got around to buying any pieces, so when I saw this & the jeweled collar D’vil shirt at 70% off in the BENGT sale, I had no excuse & I’ve barely taken it off since! Yeah, technically it’s a size too big, but I kinda like the slouchyness it gives it & I can always take it in a little.

I love dresses like this that are the perfect mixture between smart & casual, I could easily wear this out to a bar or dinner, but the military detailing & heavy, textured fabric mean that dressed down with tights & stompy boots it’s casual enough for day to day too. The delicate lace is such a nice contrast to the thick fabric & makes it much more interesting with the cutout sections, so here I’ve kept the accessorizing super simple, to really let the beautiful design & cut of the dress speak for it’s self.

Aw, no, that’s awful! :( I really love the white ones, but I’m too scared of getting them filthy, I’m too clumsy! I’ve had this black one for about 3 years now & it’s a little scuffed but still looks pretty good, definitely worth the investment. Hope you get yours back soon!

Love that this whole look and mood is a bit gothic. The lace on the dress is perfect added detail. There is something about lace and sheer panels that I just love. It adds a bit of sexiness without being to much.

PS thank you for the compliment on my bf’s art work. It means a lot to the both of us. :)

double duty dresses are the best.. i’d be more inclined to wear them with stompy boots like you have though, since i hardly ever dress up, but it’s nice to have the option! the cut is really flattering, and i love that the lace is so delicate at the back! these photos would look amazing in B&W too, love how the leaves on the wall kind of frame you up :)

Yeah, I’m the same, I can’t resist grunging something up by chucking a leather jacket over it or adding stompy boots even when I am going out somewhere nice! Yeah, when I ordered it I was unsure about keeping it but as soon as I felt the fabric & how fine the lace was I knew it was a keeper! I think it’ll be the first of many from that label, so many other things I want to buy already!

I love the mix between military harshness of it, and the feminine lace ;) Good stuff!

Wearing black outfits def empower us! My mom’s biggest concern when I was a teen was if I was going to end up being a goth! Just cause I wanted (and still pretty much do) everything in black.
I love the location of this shoot, it feels a bit romantic against the black and it goes well with the lace;)

Yeah they do! Plus I love not having to faff around in the morning deciding what goes with what, when it’s all black I can just chuck anything on & it matches! ;)

haha I think wearing all black would bring out my inner goth too. I think your expression suits the outfit (and backdrop!) perfectly though and you don’t look too sullen- in fact your face is just gorgeous! really loving the lace detail.
