Sparkle Apocalypse

I couldn’t resist doing another post on Maud Traon’s amazing statement rings, oversized & made from fimo clay, copper, heaps of glitter & kitschy found objects such as plastic gems & discarded My Little Pony’s, they are prefect for those who like their jewellery to get people talking. Maud’s work explores the relationship between preciousness, value & wearability, whilst drawing on consumerism, natural disasters & appocolyptic landscapes for inspiration. Conceptual, quirky & delightfully impractical, they are attention grabbing, finger sized works of art, just on the right side of tacky.

I so wish there were more information online as to how much & where to buy them from, as I would love the spiked orange one & the purple tower of gems…
