ASOS Cateye Sunglasses / Topshop Asymmetric Top / Topshop Snake Print Jeans / Links of London Friendship Bracelet * /
Whistles Bracelet / ASOS Spiked Bracelet / Topshop Boots / Balenciaga City

I’ve been feeling kind of knackered lately, like I could spend the whole day sleeping & still feel like I needed more in order to recharge. I’ve got a lot going on at the moment & I’m sure it’s my mind over-thinking things, as it always does…

Whenever I feel like this I always find myself throwing on super simple, casual outfits, those fail safe combinations that I know just work & are comfortable and easy at the same time. Plus of course huge black sunglasses to hide my tired eyes! I can’t shut up about these new ones from ASOS, but I can now add yet another reason to why they are so awesome, the lenses are really pitch black & so perfect for covering up my dark circles!

I’ve been wearing less & less jewellery recently, but I love the addition of a simple stack of bracelets to casual outfits like this. I’ve been wearing this little combination of 3 to death recently, it reminds me of being at school, when my arms used to be full of festival wristbands, friendship bracelets & charms, but a little more grown up. I’m especially loving the simplicity of Links of London‘s take on the classic friendship bracelet. Sterling silver bars, handwoven thread & muted colours (though there are also some in bright colours & fun, more traditional patterns too), they feel modern & grown up, but still give me that sense of nostalgia too.

I hope you’re feeling better/more energetic soon lovely, I’ve been feeling that way lately too. I’ve procrastinated doing anything useful all day and just longed for sleep time! That being said, you look beautiful as always. I really like your snake print jeans, they’re not something I would have picked out despite liking the print, but they actually look really subtle on. I love the Links of London friendship bracelets, they remind me of handmade ones at school too and really evoke a sense of nostalgia. Who doesn’t love a healthy dose of nostalgia every now and then (especially when feeling sleepy) xxx

Thanks Hannah! :) I agree, I actually only brought these jeans because they were super cheap in the sale, but now they are soo close to being ruined & I really wish I’d brought a 2nd pair, because they’ve easily become my favourites!
I love anything that gives me a nostalgic feeling, I think the bracelets would be such a nice gift to give to your girlfriends too :)

ok first of all I want to congratulate on your vogue feature! Plus I love the asymmetrical top, its sick! As for feeling sick, I think it is that time of the year, mid point, half way hard work, sometimes you just need to rest. I feel you cause I am feeling tired as well. I am gonna take a few days off to re charge, no designing, no cutting, no sewing maybe blogging but it is gd to re charge. Can’t wait for this weekend to rest, feel better xx

      Thanks Melissa! :)
I think it must be the time of year, I’ve seen a lot of people complaining of the same recently too. I bet you’re like me though & find it so hard to switch off & take time off from your work. Sometimes it’s just what you need though, I’ll be doing the same this weekend too.

I know what you mean. Whenever I’m tired or needing a recharge, it’s the simplest ensembles that I constantly grab.

This first picture is sooo beautiful Steph! You have such a natural style, even your casual outfits are awesome. Love those skinnies and the Links bracelets are really cool, I gave one to Brownie for Xmas a few years back. <3

Those cat eye glasses look amazing on you – you must have the perfect face shape for them as I am still not sure whether mine look right or not. Sometimes I think, “yeah I can rock these” then other times I’m like “hell no”. ;)

I’m not sure if you know Jane Bowler or not, but I thought you might like this designer. There’s a lot of black and clear plastics in her latest work and it’s got a bit of a dark edge to it. Right up your street! Emerging Designer Jane Bowler.

They are pretty much the only shape that suit me, I’m the same with round glasses, they look so cool on other girls but soo weird on me! Hah!
Thanks for the heads up too, her work is awesome! :)

That is a fantastic outfit. It’s all black and yet it doesn’t look dark. You look gorgeous.

Hello! It was from Topshop, though unfortunately it’s very old now & no longer avaliable :(
I have seen similar in the past on ASOS though, so may be worth trying there! :)
