We finally got a little peek of Summer this week, it was unbelievably hot & sticky, however a few days later & we are back to dull, dreary days. For the entire few days the sun shone, I was ill, stuck inside with a chest infection & pretty much as soon as it went back to behaving like September, I felt back to normal! Well, normal except for a puffy, swollen face, hence the sunglasses & moody expression! So, this is kinda my ‘I feel like death’ outfit, basic & most importantly super comfortable dress + a few statement pieces that always make me feel better when I’m wearing them. I’m not exactly a sun worshiper, as is probably extremely obvious from my pasty white tan, but there’s no denying that days are so much more enjoyable when the sun’s out, even if I am slathered in factor 50… I’m still clinging onto my tights though, I couldn’t face exposing others to my transparent legs until they’ve had at least a little bit of sun!

I’ve been wearing my Moxham Anubis necklace with almost everything recently, it’s become my new COS belt, one of those items you can’t stop wearing because you can just chuck it on over anything & instantly feel confident & put together. Absolutely every outfit seems to look better with it added, when I’m not wearing it I can’t help but feel like my outfit’s missing something, that finishing touch. I guess that’s a surefire sign I need to treat myself to some more & fast!

I’m a little like that with my Finsk shoes too, once I realized how comfortable they were I couldn’t stop at just one pair & now I have a whole shelf of them! The way they complete an outfit & can make even the most basic look quite statement with the addition of a pair is far too addictive. Plus, they make me smile & give me a bit of a spring in my step when I’m wearing them, exactly what I needed for a day like today!

      Ah, thank you! They are actually surprisingly easy to walk in, I have some a similar style/height from Topshop that are a nightmare, but somehow with these you kinda forget your wearing them! Don’t dismiss them till you’ve tried a pair! :)

    i love that necklace and it really suits your style. i know what you mean about wearing it with everything! i went through similar phases with a few of my accessories and shoes. love your finsk wedges and i really wish i had more opportunity to wear anything higher than 2 inches! glad you’re feeling better!

    It won’t stop raining here in NYC. I just want it to stoppppp! I miss the sun!

    OMG that necklace is so badass!! I would look like a wannabe goth high schooler if I tried to rock it. It’s def. a hard piece to rock but you totally pull it off. I also love the Senso boots. I have a pair of chunky high boots from Urban Outfitters that I love to wear that I totally forget that they are high heels. It’s great finding shoes like that — they are hard to come by. Def. makes me want to try a pair of Senso even MORE now.

    Poor you! I hope you feel better! BTW, this weather is driving me crazy and, being June, the only thing I would love to do is laying on a beach very far away from the rain, i.e. very far from Belgium. You look great as usual and these shoes are such an original piece. They would make any outfits look special!

    I remember lusting hard after a pair of those FINSK wedges, cannot believe you have a whole shelf of them!

    I LOVE those shoes, so quirky. You look great… I used dove moisturiser with a hint of self tan before my holiday. It just builds up a light natural colour, without looking too fake tanny x
