Autumn Sun

Despite the fact we’re heading into autumn here it’s been surprisingly sunny, it’s as though the weathers trying to make up for the miserable summer we’ve had & it’s been making me dream about sunglasses! Not that I need the sun to wear mine though, I wear them as much in the winter as I do in the summer, thanks to my watery eyes.

I’m pretty set in my ways when buying sunglasses, most of my pairs are hard to tell apart, but I think with sunglasses it’s best to stick with what suits you. I’ve been told by every store I’ve been into to buy a pair that I should go for something rounded to soften up my angular features, but it just doesn’t work for me, I prefer to play up this angluarness by wearing heavy, squared frames & I’ve never met a pair of cat eyes I didn’t like! I also usually go for black, but recently I’ve found myself loving the softer neutral colours like cream & blush, I’m seriously longing for a pair of those nude coloured Celines…

Top of my wish list though are the squared off Celine cat eyes in black, they’re like superhero sunglasses & I love how the squareness really updates such a classic shape. I’ve always been a sucker for wayfarer styles too & I’ve got my eye on the Ksubi pair, the cream flecks are such a quirky touch & it helps to add a little softness to the heavy black frames.

I was never truly convinced about wayfarers even though the hubs bought them for himself. And then I started seeing them more and more in the magazines, blogosphere, streetstyle photos and now I think they’re beyond cool.

I have the coral version of the nude Celines (small) and they on a different look when I put them on. The frame kind of blends in with my skin so from far as the lenses are much darker than these on the nude pair it kind of looks like I’m wearing John Lennon sunnies! I much prefer my large black pair. Really really digging the Ksubis here, I almost wish I hadn’t seen these today because now I want a pair! The cateye Celines would look amazing on you I think!

Ahh, I did wonder that actually, cos I bet the nude ones are quite similar to my skin tone too & might kind of blend in. I think they’re the kind I’d definitely want to see in person to try on before buying, but those black Celines I’d happily order without trying on! Now I just have to work out a way to justify them, cos they do look pretty similar to pairs I already own! ;) I love the Ksubi’s too, I can definitely see you in them!

I am so glad it’s not just me who wears sunglasses rain or shine! I have sensitive eyes so I wear them loads. Th black Celine sunglasses are my favourite as they’re thicker than usual, love them! x

Mine too, the slightest wind & they’ll be streaming, especially in winter & when you wear as much eyeliner as I do it’s really not a great combination! Hah! Yeah, I think they’re my faves too, I love a good chunky frame!

I’m obsessed with shades. I’d choose the first Celines!

I too stick to similar style and shape for sunnies that I know work for my face. The Celine ones look like a statement piece!
