Black.co.uk Cashmere Beanie * / ASOS Leather & Faux Fur Biker Jacket / MeeMee Dip Hem Dress * / Topshop Boots / Balenciaga City

Please excuse my puffy face here, I feel like I’m dying of a cold & my sinuses are so swollen that my eyes have been constantly watering from the pressure – hello red, puffy eyes! I knew it wouldn’t be long before I got a cold now the temperature has dropped & it’s the only thing I really wasn’t looking forward to with the arrival of Autumn.

One of the best things though, is getting to dig out my favourite Autumn clothes, this ASOS biker being top of the list. You will probably be sick of seeing it after how much I wore it last year, but I still can’t get enough of it’s furry sleeves & the fact I got it for such a steal just makes me love it even more, it was easily one of my favourite buys of last year. I’ve yet to be approached by any strangers for a sneaky stroke of the (faux) fur though, so lets hope that doesn’t happen again!

This outfit is pretty much my ‘I’m feeling sorry for myself’ uniform – loose comfortable dress, big snuggly jacket, and a cosy beanie. It’s easy, comfortable & you can throw it on in 2 minutes, exactly what I need when I’m feeling so delicate. The cashmere beanie has become one of my favourite things recently, it’s so incredibly soft & the circular rib gives it a really nice snug fit, it feels like a huge fluffy hug for my poor throbbing head & is yet another hat that’s making me reconsider my usual thoughts of ‘not being a hat person’.

Steph, first of all, I hope you feel better! We had such a short summer in Belgium that I cannot believe I have to think about another ‘wardrobe change’ already…but I also understand what you wrote in an earlier post about wanting to wear FW clothes given the temperatures! To me the beanie is the accessory of the colder months and, as usual, you put together such a cool outfit. I think it’s great when we have pieces that we want to wear over and over again as it means that they were ‘made for us’! Take care, Caterina

I feel exactly the same Caterina, seems like it lasted barely a few days. I love the Summer weather, but prefer AW clothes for all the layering & wrapping up, I don’t really like the cold though! I agree, I love wearing old favourite pieces, I could never be the type to wear something for one season whilst it was ‘in’ & then discard it!

Oh I hope you’re feeling better now Steph, can’t really tell from the photos though! I hate falling sick when the weather drops – part of my routine is a glass of fresh orange juice with some ginger every morning. And just lots of water and rest. The beanie really suits you! Glad you haven’t had any strangers come up to touch your arm – I had that once, it was so weird! Keep warm xx

Thanks Steph! :) I have been juicing lots of oranges & lemons to fend it off, and recently started putting ginger in too – love the little kick it gives it! I had it soo much last year with this jacket, it never stopped feeling weird no matter how many times people did it! Hah!

This is such a great outfit! If there would be anybody who I could name, who showed so many variations and meanings of black, without any doubt I would name you! :)
I really like those fur sleeves of that leather jacket- such an unexpected combination!
And beanies are definitely growing on me, I should get one too! :)

Oh no, feel better soon! I think everyone is pretty bunged up at the moment. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of seeing this jacket, I really wish I’d snapped it up too! I love bikers and this is so much more interesting than the usual ones.
(And yeah, saw on Twitter there’s some forum where people go to bitch about bloggers…so nasty!) xxx

Ughh… I can’t believe that. How nasty! I guess you always get the odd few that feel the need to bitch though! :(
