Barneys Originals Leather Jacket / ASOS Maxi Dress / Bracher Emden ‘Classic’ Structured Tote / AllSaints Necklace

I think my face in these photos says all you need to know about my thoughts on the weather at the moment, totally unimpressed. I don’t even like being out in the sun all that much, which I think is pretty obvious, but even I’m feeling depressed by the lack of even a glimmer of summer. I mean, I’m wearing a leather jacket in July! Come on now.

At least the rain held off for me to finally shoot my newest love, this structured tote from Bracher Emden though. I’m warning you now, you will be seeing a lot of this bag, I’ve used it everyday since it arrived. It’s nice to have an alternative day bag to my usual slouchy Balenciaga, especially one so totally different, I never realized before what a difference a bag can make to an outfit. Where my Balenciaga would have given this outfit a more casual, laidback vibe, this one gives it a smarter edge.

After we shot this we happened to walk past the Disney store & saw a bunch of Finding Nemo toys in their bargain bin, my excuse was that I was looking for my friends little girl, but when I spotted a lone Sparky from Frankenweenie for £4, I had to get him for myself. We had a good laugh afterwards about how much of a token ‘goth girl’ I looked, swathed in black with this frankenstein dog teddy sticking out of my handbag! If you haven’t seen the movie, and are a fan of Disney or Tim Burton, I would totally recommend it. If you’re a dog person, you will definitely cry, alot, though!

Thankyou Jessie! :) I have to say this one & the shopper were my two favourites too. I love that the tote is almost all in the crackled textured leather, it’s such a beautiful leather. This one won out for me though, because it’s just a more practical bag for my everyday needs & I love that it had the detachable shoulder strap. If I was still at uni I would have got the tote though, it’s so roomy!

It’s like a Mary Poppins bottomless bag, it’s surprising how much stuff I can fit into it!
Pretty much anything Disney, or featuring animals – but especially dogs, will have me sobbing. I’m so over-emotional with things like that!

Such a beautiful look. That bag has such a structured elegance to it – when I invest in a new handbag, I think Bracher Emden will be high on my list!

I think it’s actually warmer in Wellington where I live and um.. it’s winter. And it’s windy here :/

Anyway – you look so utterly chic, and dying over your bag. It’s so perfect love!

Haha! Bloody British weather! It’s actually 26degrees today, so I’ve gone from this to tee & shorts in the space of 2 days! I have no idea where the Summer suddenly came from!

If you’re talking about that rescue ‘good dog, bad dog’ advert that they’re doing at the mo, then it makes me blub everytime too! Hah! It is a really cute film though, deffo worth a watch, despite the tears! :)

Oooh you should have added him to this shoot hehehe! I’ve never seen it but I do love Tim Burton and dogs so I’m sold! Will try to see it this weekend now. That bag is very fancy pants indeed, but without being all flashy. It’s in it’s own show holding the spotlight (no offense to your beautiful face darling) and so in it’s own world, totally league of it’s own kinda thang. I’m saving up for one of their fabulous clutches, thanks for the hook up!

I should have! He got instagrammed though! ;) I hadn’t really heard anything about the movie, till I happened across it at the DVD store, seems it wasn’t very well promoted at all! Not sure why, cos it’s a really cute movie! :) And I agree, the bag is a definite spotlight stealer!

I love the maxi dress on you Steph, it makes you look like you have legs that go on forever! I think I’ve declared my love for your bag before, but I’ll say it again, it’s beautiful. I really like your leather jacket too, I don’t think I’ve seen a leather jacket worn this way before. Frankenweenie has just been put on my list of things to see, I don’t know why we didn’t see it because I love both Disney and Tim Burton! xx

Thankyou! The jacket is just my draped one that’s been tied up, cos I wanted the Haider Ackermann one & couldn’t afford it, so this was the next best thing! Hah! ;)
I’m the same, I adore Disney & Burton, so I have no idea why I never caught this at the cinema, seems it was very under-promoted? I didn’t even know it existed till I came across it whilst browsing through DVDs!

haha your unimpressed face is still beautiful! it’s so weird that you’re wearing a leather jacket when it’s summer over there. and that bag suits you and your outfit perfectly as well! I haven’t seen that Tim Burton movie…although I’m more of a cat person I’ll check it out! :)
