This AllSaints dress must be around 6 years old by now, and it’s a great example of a garment that actually gets better with age. It’s fading in places, some of the stitching is becoming loose, hems falling down, all signs it’s been worn & loved for many years. I could fix those things, but it doesn’t bother me & I think adds to it’s kind of disheveled charm.
It’s one of the only things I have from then that I still own & love to wear, the rest has long since fallen apart, as is usually the case when you stuff your wardrobe full of cheaply made pieces. There’s nothing worse than having to throw favourite pieces out because they’re ruined, especially when they have a lot of memories attached. Though, I admit, I am guilty of keeping a few things I’ll never wear again purely because of the special memories they hold for me. These days I pay much more attention to not only buying pieces I love, but that are well made & made to last too, so hopefully in another 6 years I’ll have a wardrobe filled with many old favourites that I can still enjoy wearing.

I really did love this outfit, I have a couple of Barney’s jackets and they’re such good quality for the price! I don’t own any drapey leathers, I definitely need to invest.

I love the dress its beautiful especially with the embroidery detailing :’) I am impressed that this has lasted you more than 6 years and it looks in great condition and tbh I love the fact its worn as it gives a unique look and feel to the dress! I would love to own some Allsaints pieces but find them pretty expensive but might save for a coat as I love investing in coats/shoes and bags :) x

I love your dress! It’s great having things that have memories attached, I don’t mind so much spending less on clothes because I often get bored of things after a while but I like to make sure my shoes and bags are made to last…I don’t think I could ever get another high street bag, I have loved and lost too many :'( xxx

Some of my favourite pieces to wear are my older garments that I have had for years. It’s great that you can still wear the dress after six years or so. Great outfit, and I especially love the shoes.
