I know I’ve been whinging about how rubbish the sales have been this year, but after paying ASOS a visit last week I actually ended up getting quite a little haul of things, this Gestuz dress being one of them. I’m a huge fan of the brand & couldn’t pass this up at 70% off, even though I was a little unsure of the tie-dye, marbled print to begin with. It was one of those pieces that as soon as I tried it on I didn’t want to take it off again, it’s super soft, drapes beautifully & the print is much subtler than I originally thought.

I’d been looking for a pair of casual, comfortable, go with anything wedges for the longest time. So, when I went along to the Finsk sample sale before Christmas & saw two perfect pairs, I couldn’t help myself from getting both. You’ve already seen the laced ones, but then I realised I haven’t shown this pair off yet! I love that they are basic enough to work with everything in my wardrobe, but they also have so many subtle little details that quietly make a real statement. The tiny notch in the back of the wedge & the double stud fastening are my favourite parts. Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference.

Sometimes tie dye can be hit and miss but this dress is lovely and like you say quite subtle. The wedges are incredible! x

You always look amazing Steph, and I have real wardrobe envy! I’ve never seen black look so good in so many different ways. You’re definitely an inspiration, every time I see how you’ve styled up your outfits I feel inspired to step out of my comfort zone and try something new (I’m working on it, it takes time to stop wearing those much-loved comfort zone jeans and slouchy jumper haha :)). Your marbled dress is gorgeous, and subtle like you said. I clicked through to Gestuz on Asos – another brand to covet! Asos has the best reductions and discounts, I think it must be where the majority of my money goes. Last weekend when they held a 50% off high street brands limited-time-only sale, I had to snap up an Oasis dip-dye cardigan at half price. Asos is bad for my bank balance – but probably my favourite place to shop online :) xx

Aw, Hannah, that’s so lovely, thankyou! :) I agree, ASOS is soo bad for my bank account too! It’s too easy when all of your favourite brands & labels are in the same place, not to mention with free delivery & returns! Plus, like you said their sales are ridiculously amazing too!

Steph, I’m glad that you found such great pieces during the sales and the sculptural platform are so you! Can you believe that I discovered ASOS only recently and thanks to blogging?! They have some amazing pieces and I have my eyes on a couple of printed skirts…Have a nice w-e, Caterina

No way! I’ve been addicted to ASOS for so long now, especially since they started stocking indie & designer labels, they have the best sales on them too making it even more tempting! I hope you get your skirts! :)

I’m loving those subtle little hints of awesomeness on your heels – especially the little cut out at the heel, super fierce. And that dress looks great on you, I’m really liking the tie-dye/marble effect plus I completely agree with you about the whole sales thing – it’s been a massive disappointment, especially in Australia, our ‘sales’ day on Boxing Day last year was an EPIC FAIL, nothing new was reduced nor was it further reduced, sigh, what’s the world coming to!

Anyhoo hoping your week is a great one,

I’m loving your asymmetrical jacket. After resisting the all black look this winter, I think I’m going to cave in. You do the all black look so well!

Wow, that dress is a great find! It suits you perfectly. But the shoes are even more incredible!!

I love the marble print of the dress. It almost has a greenish grey color. I wish ASOS had an actual store in the US. I always hate buying thing online because I hate getting the wrong size then having to ship it make. So much effort! Plus I’m a type of person that likes to see the clothes in person…
