I know I’m pretty late to the party with these galaxy leggings, but I’m just way too much of a space nerd to resist them any longer. I loved them when they first appeared, but the fact that they were everywhere & everyone had a pair really put me off getting some myself. I also could never really justify the £50+ price tag when I knew for me they would be more of a novelty piece, something I only wore very occasionally or mostly just around the house when working from home.

I was skeptical of the quality of this pair when I ordered them, being so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The print is vibrant & clear, and though the material could be a little thicker they are definitely not sheer or cheap looking. I have already worn them more than I expected to and I love that even though they are one of the more colourful things I own, they still feel quite dark & fit easily into the rest of my wardrobe.

Once in a while I stumble across something that despite my better judgement I find myself needing. This unicorn clutch is one of those things. It’s childish & verging on tacky, it barely fits my phone inside, is super impractical & it’s not even real leather – but I love her, in all her cheap pleather glory, my little gothicorn.

I’m always finding myself drawn to things that evoke a sense of nostalgia and I was obsessed with My Little Ponies when I was young, so it’s no surprise this turned me into a squealy 5 year old again (complete with making it gallop across the floor & neigh at my friends…) when it arrived! Being all black it blends in with my outfits nicely, without looking out of place & I love how it adds a cute, playful edge to what would otherwise be quite a moody outfit. I really do wish it had of been made from a nice textured leather instead though.

Another thing leaving me feeling nostalgic is this ‘name’ necklace. I could never find my name on any when I was younger, and maybe I’m still a bit annoyed about that, as I’m not the biggest fan of them now. I do love to adorn my body with writing though, all 3 of my next planned tattoos are written quotes, so when ONecklace asked if I’d like to try one of their necklaces I knew exactly what I wanted. I think ‘breathe’ is such a beautiful word and as someone who suffers with a little anxiety I find it’s a great word to keep constantly in mind. I love how delicate the script on this one is, and how it falls at that perfect length too. It’s quite subtle, and I can see it getting a lot of everyday use.

InAisce AW13

InAisce Autumn Winter 2013 Womens Lookbook. Dark style, gothic, raw, organic, tailoring.InAisce Autumn Winter 2013 Womens Lookbook. Dark style, gothic, raw, organic, tailoring.

I’ve spoken about New York based label InAisce & their beautiful architectural, yet organic pieces before, but I couldn’t resist showing off their latest offering for Autumn/Winter. I love collections with a unisex appeal, there are so many of the mens pieces I would love to buy and though there have been a few womenswear pieces mixed in amongst them in previous seasons, this season sees the launch of their first separate womenswear collection due to high demand & it’s everything I imagined it would be. Sharp tailoring worn with heavy knits & softly draped wools, jerseys and cottons, it feels sophisticated but with a utilitarian edge.

Please excuse my puffy face here, I feel like I’m dying of a cold & my sinuses are so swollen that my eyes have been constantly watering from the pressure – hello red, puffy eyes! I knew it wouldn’t be long before I got a cold now the temperature has dropped & it’s the only thing I really wasn’t looking forward to with the arrival of Autumn.

One of the best things though, is getting to dig out my favourite Autumn clothes, this ASOS biker being top of the list. You will probably be sick of seeing it after how much I wore it last year, but I still can’t get enough of it’s furry sleeves & the fact I got it for such a steal just makes me love it even more, it was easily one of my favourite buys of last year. I’ve yet to be approached by any strangers for a sneaky stroke of the (faux) fur though, so lets hope that doesn’t happen again!

This outfit is pretty much my ‘I’m feeling sorry for myself’ uniform – loose comfortable dress, big snuggly jacket, and a cosy beanie. It’s easy, comfortable & you can throw it on in 2 minutes, exactly what I need when I’m feeling so delicate. The cashmere beanie has become one of my favourite things recently, it’s so incredibly soft & the circular rib gives it a really nice snug fit, it feels like a huge fluffy hug for my poor throbbing head & is yet another hat that’s making me reconsider my usual thoughts of ‘not being a hat person’.

Warehouse AW13

Warehouse Fashion AW13 Collection Style Me If You Can gapwarehouse1_2warehouse2

It’s been a while since I’ve wanted so many pieces from a single highstreet store. Warehouse has always been one of those stores I regularly stop to browse in & I always tend to buy one or two pieces from there each season, but their autumn/winter collection could have been made especially for me, I want absolutely everything!

First on my need list is that beautiful leather & faux fur 5 way biker coat. The wool bottom can be zipped off to make it jacket length & the fur outer layer can be removed to be worn as a separate gilet, revealing a woolen coat underneath. I love pieces like this with endless options, it’s 5 coats in one & I think the price is pretty incredible when you consider this amount of versatility. I know it’d be a piece I’d get a lot of wear out of, in all of it’s various options. Now, how to justify adding another black jacket to my collection…

I’m also coveting the paneled jeans with their crisp, glossy coating & the asymmetric skirt too, both are such staple pieces but with that little something extra, like the paneling & the leather trims. The fuzzy geometric jumper is high on my list too, you know I can’t resist a good geometric pattern. I do wish this was black on black (or grey), that would make it totally perfect in my eyes, but I still think it’s something that would easily slot into my wardrobe & the white would make for quite a striking contrast against an otherwise black outfit.
