Last week I was talking about how this time of the year always makes me crave metallics, I’ve never been much of a silver person, but I love gold or bronze against black & I guess it’s about as ‘festive’ as I get when it comes to christmas dressing. This week seems to be the week for Christmas parties & for my first one of the year last week I wore this pencil skirt from Poppy Lux, I knew everyone else would be in their best sequins & festive jumpers, so I felt I ought to make an effort to look the part too, but in my own way! I love the dull, almost matte bronze of the skirt & the little asymmetric hemline too, I’m not usually a fan of faux leather, but I think it works here.

I have a new favourite shirt in my wardrobe too, and you know I love shirts! I have barely taken off this beautiful chiffon one from Aussie label Heart by Nana Judy. The fabric is so soft & floaty, it hangs beautifully & it has lots of nice little details too, like the two little studs on the collar and golden skull top button. It also has a great shaped hem, making it perfect for layering. I’ll be wearing this to death, so expect to see it a lot!

I’m still feeling pretty run down thanks to swollen sinuses too, despite my best efforts I just can’t seem to shake off this cold! If any of you guys have any secrets for getting rid of stubborn colds or relieving puffy sinuses, please share!

Wow that skirt looks pretty amazing, especially on you! :) I love the asymetrical cut of it- very cool and unusual!
I also like that you paired bronze together with black, a very good color combination! And I agree, the outfit definitely looks festive in your kind of manner & I like that! :)

This skirt looks like it was made for you! I like seeing you in a bit of “color”, even if it is simply metallic, and this one suits you well!

Love seeing you in some color! I agree this time of year always makes me want to throw on some metallic…and sparkles for me lol But like you I’m not much of a silver fan I go more towards the bronze and golds. I absolutely love this skirt! And i love how you kept your style with this skirt as well.

Whaaat, no snow in the UK? :O I’m a little sad now.. haha. That brickwall is the most amazing location I’ve seen in a while, this is just amazing! And this outfit is so great for the party..I mean I sometimes try to look a bit “like the others” but in my own way too, and I think you managed to do this perfectly. Love!

I love that the skirt is kind of matte! I hope you feel loads better soon, being ill this time of year is annoying when all you wanna do is get on with Christmassy things! I find that steamy baths help (and cuddles with puppies!) xxx

Eeep, that skirt looks way more expensive than it is! Wow, what a gem. I also love Heart by Nana Judy, I wear my sweater from them at least twice a week – it’s sooo snuggly. I hope you feel all better soon. <3

i’m quite partial to bronze too, and the skirt is such a cute cut!

have you tried ginger tea? my boyfriend hates it but it’s so good for sinuses and colds! it’s pretty simple to make too. boiling water poured over a few thin slices of fresh ginger and steeped for 20 mins, some lemon juice and a bit of honey added after to taste.

i like mine really strong with a ton of ginger, boiled in a cup of water on the stove and reduced to half – without honey or lemon added – it’s incredibly hard to drink but i feel so much better after that i think it’s worth it! hope you feel better soon x

That skirt is stunning, the muted gold has a tinge of festiveness but not really so you could wear it year round! *hint* *hint* (it’s just too lovely not to see again on the blog!) Hope you’re feeling better too.

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you.
I tripped over your blog recently and have been really inspired to take charge of how I present myself and kick my style in the ass.

That skirt is amazing! I love especially the leather texture paired with the shag on your jacket.
