Firstly, I apologize for the fact that I look like I’ve not slept for days, those who follow me on instagram or twitter will know that I got given a huge black eye by a very over-enthusiastic husky puppy whilst we were playing (I’m sure you can guess who!) last week. It’s almost healed now, but the puffiness & swelling is still hanging around making me look seriously sleep deprived!

I might be the only one, but I am so excited to be able to wear my heavy maxi skirts & jackets again, Autumn is definitely my favourite season & I can’t wait to layer up even more. This laser cut jacket from Topshop is one of those pieces I love & yet hate at the same time. I love the beautifully cut back & how attention grabbing it is (I got stopped by 4 different people today just to tell me how much they loved it) but I hate that I can only wear it when the weather’s just right. It’s too delicate to layer over any bulky sweaters to make it more winter appropriate & the suede is too thick, heavy & sweaty to wear during the summer, so I intend to wear it as much as possible whilst I can!

I’m developing a bit of an addiction to Bracher Emden’s bags. It’s as though they’ve peered into my brain, made a note of what my ideal bag would look like & designed them especially for me. I have been taking my Geo clutch everywhere with me, it’s such a showstopper & never fails to get people asking about it thanks to it’s unusual shape, but as someone who likes to pack everything but the kitchen sink into her bags it’s not something I can carry day to day. This soft oversized Lucy clutch is perfect for that though, it has all the same attitude & wonderful design elements of the Geo but in a more practical size & shape. I love the option of the removable shoulder strap & the geometric appliqué which gives it that same sci-fi feel I loved about the Geo.

Mens tees are one of my favourite things to wear, especially when paired with more streamlined & tailored pieces. This one from Camp Beverly Hills is exactly what I’ve been looking for, beautiful super soft cotton, boxy cut & minimalistic text to the front. It’s a perfect basic & I’ve always had a soft spot for heathered charcoal tees, so it’s a great addition to my collection… Well, I say ‘my collection’ most are the boyfriends that I’ve just never given back!

I’m sure you’re all aware that I’m a bit of a boot fanatic, a good chunk of my wardrobe is taken over by them & almost all of them are black, heavy & stompy. It’s a bit of an obsession. I wear mine all year round, even in the Summer heat, but my favourite part of the year is when the Autumn/Winter collections start hitting the high street, as it means one thing – new boots!

House of Fraser is one of my favourite places to search for them, as they stock such a good variety of brands & have a huge selection, so there’s always something to tempt me. This year I’ve had my eye on quite a few biker & riding style boots, I don’t actually have any good flat boots so I can totally justify a pair of those. I just can’t decide between the metal covered Bertie ones or the strapped Steve Madden ones though! Are they different enough to be able to justify getting both?!

I’m also loving the sneaker style wedges that have been around for a while, I’ve been lusting after the Isabel Marant ones all year, but the Ash versions are also beautiful, look just as comfy & are much cheaper too.

I own endless pairs that look near identical to the Bertie platform ones, but I’ve still spent my lunch break trying to decide if they are too similar or not, adding them to my basket, removing them, adding them again…

I know you all love Nico, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do a more casual outfit post & get to include him too. He’s been shedding like crazy & has his summer coat at the moment, so he’s looking a bit skinny, but his winter ones finally started growing back in now & I’m so looking forward to having my fluffy wolf back!

I get told so often that I always look ‘dressed up’, but I’m not really one for dressing super casual. I never save my nice things ‘for best’, I prefer to get my wear out of them, even if all I’m doing is walking Nico! I just don’t see the point in spending money on beautiful things to have them mostly sit in your wardrobe, what’s the point in that?

These snake print skinnies from Topshop are one of the few things I make a point of wearing as little as possible, mostly because I am dreading the day they finally get a hole & die. Isn’t that just the worst when your favourite pair of jeans get a hole? They are one of those things I picked up in the sale because they were cheap & then a few months later kicked myself for not buying a few backup pairs! I love subtle prints like this & the fit is so perfect, I should have known they’d quickly become my favourite pair. I’m still scouring eBay for replacements even now!

Despite never dressing overly casual, I’m a sucker for a good classic pair of sneakers & I am currently a little bit obsessed with my new Keds champions. It’s so nice to have a super lightweight shoe but with the comfort of a chunkier pair, thanks to the nice thick padding. I’m usually more of a high top kinda girl if I’m honest, but these are really growing on me, I like that they have a slightly smarter look to them but I’m also really pleased to hear Keds are bringing out a whole range of high top & boot styles for winter! They’re one of the comfiest pairs I own & perfect for long walks with Nico!
