Topshop Wool Trench Coat / Warehouse Neoprene Dress * / Bracher Emden Belt * / Rick Owens Wedges / Bracher Emden Classic Bag

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a dress made from neoprene for a while now, but all of the styles out there seemed to have huge, voluminous skirts, and I wanted something more sleek & minimal. This one from Warehouse couldn’t be more perfect, the curved hem, high neck & fitted, sleeveless shape are such great little details & give it that subtle futuristic, mod-like feel. Of course I couldn’t resist adding an extra sci-fi touch with the huge statement belt! This is such a versatile, hardworking dress & I’m looking forward to wearing it more once the weather warms up, to properly show it off, and dressing it up for nights out too.

Considering how much I wear this coat, it doesn’t feature on here anywhere near enough. I’ve actually had it for around 5 years now, and it’s been my one winter coat for almost that entire time, not to mention worn everyday for dog walks & yet somehow it still looks barely worn. I didn’t need a new coat at the time, but I brought it on a whim in the Topshop sale, purely because it was so cheap. I would never have guessed that 5 years from now it would be one of the most worn, and favourite items that I own. It’ll be a sad day when I finally have to replace it.

I love that belt! I love that its not overwhelming on you. I feel like something like that can be super tricky to wear but you look great in it. Also there is nothing like a really great trusty coat! That’s how I feel about my Tahari coat. It’s something that I’ve had in my closet for about 3 years and almost wear it everyday. It’s something that doesn’t look totally worn.

Neoprene is cool especially for ppl with surfing backgrounds like myself so its funny but cool to see what was considerate just for sports now is going so strong in the runway and street. This dress suits you really well and we can see it will go with most of your jackets. I am looking for some neoprene myself but until I find the right piece I will keep my eyes open. xx

I hear you on the neoprene. I was almost tempted to get a T by A Wang one but the flouncy skirt is what throws me. Yours looks great!
Wow 5 years – that is a long time! I think mine is going onto its third year now, and while I’ve alternated a little, it’s basically been the only one. It’s great when you find a coat that lasts the distance :)

What a beautiful dress! I bet it feels amazing on. :) Warehouse have so many nice new ins, I love all their floral prints and pastels. I have a leopard mac I bought for a fiver from Warehouse about 6 years ago, I still wear it every autumn ha!

The curved hem on your dress is just perfect, I see so many curved hems that just don’t sit right at all. This is the first neoprene dress I’ve seen without the big skirt as well, it looks lovely on you especially with your gorgeous belt and overall style. I love those sale purchases that end up being on of your best buys – my black coat is exactly the same in terms of durability and wear, I bought it on a whim a few years ago on sale in Warehouse in the High Cross and I’ve not needed another black coat since. My mum loves it so much she’s spent all her time since trying to find the same one on Ebay and not yet succeeded! She tried to buy mine from me a few times but I’m not giving in haha, it’s far too versatile even if I alternate with other coats. xxx

P.s. I would love some tips and recommendations on Barcelona, I know nothing yet other than Mark’s plans for us to see a football game at Camp Nou! I will put up a post at some point asking for help, I’d like to make plans so we make the most of our time there :) x

I always love that belt, but yes! It is hard to find a neoprene dress that is not baby doll style. Great find!

I have the same story with my winter coat as well! I think I have had mine since the 9th or 10th grade, I have been thinking of replacing it for a long time now, but I cannot find anything that is as remotely good as my old one!
I really like this outfit, the dress is a true winner and it looks so good on you!
I also like your shoes a lot- they look so cool together with black tights!

Damn that is an amazing dress! And come to think of it they’re all in that skater style! There was an Aussie designer who did the neoprene dress thing a while back but I only managed to score myself a muscle tee. Don’t think he’s been doing them anymore. But I love the simplicity of this black dress and how’s it curves inwards from the sides. You look amazing in this! And that coat. Man what a great buy. I have a few tanks I brought about six years ago from a cheap high street store. Only $12 each (pretty cheap for Aussie standards lol) and they’re all like new, except the white one which is fraying and getting holed up along the seams, but it still looks pretty cool. Like they’re all intentional or something hahaha!

Wow this has to be one of my most favourite looks the dress is incredible! Warehouse has some nice futuristic pieces if you look hard enough and the fit is really great too! What I like most about the outfit is the belt its such a statement piece and just transforms the entire look especially when wearing such a simple cut dress. The coat collar is wicked and love the structure and the fact its lasted more than 5 years makes it more desirable! x

THAT belt. I love anything sci-fi! I am waiting for the day that it is acceptable to wear a BryanBoy-style visor and a spacesuit! ;) xxx
