If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll probably have noticed that around this time of year I just can’t resist metallics and this beautiful rose gold foil dress from F&F is this years piece, obviously I have my eye on the black version as well though! I think all the festivities must do something to me, but a sparkly gold dress really does just feel so appropriate right now.

I’ve just realised the last three outfit posts have included a lot of faux fur, as you can see I’m on a little bit of a kick and I blame the high street for really upping their game and starting to use much higher quality materials that are so soft and realistic. It’s hard to pass them up at those prices! It also makes me wonder why people would still buy real fur when there is faux this good, there’s just no need anymore. This hat has quickly become my new favourite headwear and it’s perfect for outfits like this when my usual knitted beanies would feel a little too casual and dressed down.

How is it just one week until Christmas already? I honestly have no idea where this month has gone! Of course the festive season means plenty of Christmas parties and there’s nothing better than a good excuse to dress up a little, so here’s a peek at an outfit I’m planning to wear soon.

I don’t think I could have found a more perfect winter party accessory than this faux fur stole. I completely fell in love with all of the different patchwork textures and shades of black and grey, I’ve never seen anything like this on the high street before, the faux fur is beautiful quality and it looks so much more luxe and expensive than it is. Perfect for throwing on over a nice dress to beat the chill whilst still looking party ready. New Look are really impressing me lately, and I also couldn’t resist this little star clutch, such a quick and easy way to make black look a little more festive and now no one can accuse me of not looking very christmassy or like I’ve not made an effort to be festive at parties!

Christmas at Narborough Hall

Do you have Christmas decor envy yet? Back in October I was invited along to Narborough Hall, a gift shop in a beautiful converted Elizabethan house just a short drive from my house to see their newly opened Christmas room.

I took my Grom along with me for a look around and to pick up a few festive bits and pieces. As we walked in we were greeted by the lovely Simon, Sophie and Caroline and given a brief intro on the shop and the halls long history, before being led through a little fairy light lit corridor, prosecco and chocolate truffles in hand, into the back room which had been transformed into a Christmas wonderland. It was absolutely magical, I felt instantly festive as soon as I walked in and everywhere was so beautifully decorated, I just wanted to spend a small fortune and make an identical copy of it at home!

The rest of the shop is full of unique gifts for every occasion, from children’s toys and books to candles, room fragrances, quirky home accessories and even jewellery and clothing too. It’s a great place to have a wander around when you need to buy gifts for those people who you have no idea what to get, there is literally something for everyone so you’re bound to stumble uoon something unique that they’d love.

Dipped

All black everything, dark street style outfit. FAIIINT Jones Bootmaker Yazmin black leather biker boots with buckle and zip detail. If you’ve seen me out and about recently you’ll know I’ve been pretty much living in this ombre faux fur jacket. I blame The Style Rawr girls for getting me hooked on faux jackets it the first place and now I just can’t resist their warmth and cuddliness when it’s freezing out, plus there’s something kinda great about walking around feeling like a yeti. The scruffier the better as far as I’m concerned and with that striking dip dye too, I just haven’t be able to take it off, I’ve even been wearing it at home whilst I’m working and confusing Nico!

I think after years of searching I’ve finally found the ones. I have endless pairs of heeled boots, always finding an excuse to add another pair to my collection, but flat boots or shoes are a whole other story, until these Jones biker boots came along. Finally I have a pair of almost flat boots that I love just as much as my higher pairs and I think most of that is down to the great fit, meaning they’re not unnecessarily roomy like a lot of biker styles, which just make my feet look even bigger than the already huge size they are. These are a nice close fit yet still incredibly comfortable, and I love the little details like the asymmetric zips, making them just that little bit more unique.
