Happy 2015 guys! I don’t really have many traditions when it comes to New Year, but I always like to start the New Year on here with a round-up of my favourite outfits from the past one. It’s become a great tool in helping me refine my style, and I would highly recommend doing it yourself if you’re trying to figure your own style out or just want to improve it & make it stronger. Whether you have a blog & share them with the world or you just take a shot in your mirror each morning just for yourself, whenever you put something together that you love & that makes you feel great, take a quick photo of it!

Last year I said I wanted to further refine, experiment more and feel even more comfortable & confident in my own skin, I think when you compare this set to the last two, 2013 & 2012, you can definitely see this development. You’ll also probably notice many of the same items of clothing from all 3 years, I like to invest in things & wear them for many years & I really hate the wastefulness of constantly buying all new outfits. When you buy high quality pieces, that you truly love & are not dictated by trends, you’ll get endless enjoyment from them & find plenty of ways to wear them over & over without getting bored.

I think 2014 has been the year of the hat, over half of these I have one on & I wore that fedora a lot! I doubt that will change this year either, so I’m going to aim to try out even more styles. I’m also banning myself from saying ‘it’s too girly for me’, as a tomboy at heart I find myself saying this constantly, especially with fluffy skater style skirts & lace, but I tried it out in a couple of outfits here & surprised myself by loving it each time.

Do you guys have any favourites?

Merry Christmas!

December 22nd 2014 Updates

FAIIINT Christmas Tree Nico Siberian Husky

We’re taking a short break over the next week for the holidays & will be back in the New Year with lots of fresh content. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas & New Year, and that you get everything you wished for!

I also just wanted to use this as an opportunity to say thankyou to all of you who continue to read, comment, send me lovely emails & chat with me on social media, it still amazes me what this blog has grown into & it would not be possible without you guys. I know some of you have been here right since the beginning & that fills me with warm fuzziness. I appreciate you all & your support more than you know.

If you guys have any suggestions of things you like to see more of around here, things you don’t like & would like to see less of, or suggestions for new posts, please drop me an email or a quick tweet, I’d love to hear your input! I’m thinking of reinstating the old inspiration & playlist posts, and maybe adding a little more lifestyle too, as these are things that have been mentioned to me quite a bit recently. Let me know what you think!

Happy holidays & see you all in the New Year!

Bloody Mary Metal ‘Winterspell’ Party

December 17th 2014 Life

A few weeks ago I was invited down for a little festive blogger party with the guys from Bloody Mary Metal, I’m a huge fan of the brand, as I’m sure you know & I was super excited to finally meet Lucy, and Amy too. I always love when you get the chance to meet people in person who you’ve been emailing or chatting to over social media for a while & it’s even better when they’re even more lovely than you imagined!

I headed over to Abandon Ship Apparel‘s London store & downstairs I was instantly greeted with lots of festive Winterspell goodness! All of the pieces from the new collection, as well as old favourites were beautifully laid out ready to try on & drool over, there were so many gorgeous pieces it’d be hard to pick just one favourite but I loved the Tribal Moon Pendent & matching ring, the Handful of Arrows Necklace & the dainty little Wishbone Midi Ring too.

Keeping with the Christmas spirit we were treated to a heap of party food, bubbles & a tower of Winterspell themed cupcakes from my favourite Tattooed Bakers, which were every bit as delicious as they looked! We pulled crackers winning threadbare bracelets, got covered in metallic temporary tattoos, had our nails done & there was also a Christmas tree in the corner dressed with baubles with everyone’s name on, each containing a little personalised stacker ring inside, which I thought was such a sweet touch. I had the best time meeting lots of awesome new people, and catching up with some familiar faces too, they went above & beyond considering it was their first event of this kind, it was so much fun & we were all well & truly spoilt.

PS: You guys can get 15% OFF everything from BMM with the code FAIIINT15 until the end of December!
